                                  The TDS Competition Dance Program

The TDS Competition Dance Program is one of the finest training programs for young dancers in New England. Students are accepted into the program by audition or invitation only. The TDS Competitive Program is designed for the dancer who loves to perform and is highly motivated. TDS Dance Teams have won many regional and national titles across the country! TDS faculty has won numerous choreography awards for their outstanding technique and creativity.

                                             2010-11 SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

TO WELCOME OUR FORMER STUDENTS TO OUR NEW HOME

OPEN DOOR SCHOLARSHIP is a 6 MONTH full tuition scholarship offered to introduce our 'new home' specifically for our former competitive dancers. The scholarship is to be awarded for the 2010-2011 season for competitive dancers who are not currently enrolled at the studio. There are up to six scholarships available. Each scholarship will also include a one week Summer 2010 Dance Intensive in August, 2010.  

Open Door Scholarship guidelines are as follows: 

• Dancers must currently be dancing on a competitive level or team and may not be a current TDS student.
• Dancers must be between the ages of 7 and 16. Dancers must audition in order to qualify. 
• Dancer must have been a previously enrolled student at The Dance Studio.
• To schedule an audition for a scholarship, contact the studio at thedancestudio@comcast.net.
• Auditions will be scheduled during the months of April, May and June, 2010. 
• Scholarships are awarded on a first come basis. 
• Auditions begin in April, don't miss this opportunity.

FOR OUR CURRENT STUDENTS

TDS EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP is a FULL tuition scholarship for the entire 2010-2011 season for outstanding technique and dedication in all forms of dance. This is a yearly scholarship awarded at the recital specifically for current students. Students do not audition for this scholarship. All TDS students are eligible. The recipient is selected by the faculty.

ROSE SIDMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is a FULL tuition scholarship for the entire 2010-2011 season for outstanding technique and dedication in Acrobatics. This is a yearly scholarship awarded at the recital specifically for current students. Students do not audition for this scholarship. All TDS students are eligible. The recipient is selected by the faculty.

ELIZABETH GORE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is a FULL tuition scholarship for the entire 2010-2011 season for outstanding technique and dedication in Ballet. This is a yearly scholarship awarded at the recital specifically for current students. Students do not audition for this scholarshop.  All TDS students are eligible. The recipient is selected by the faculty.
