Course Descriptions:

Creative Introduction to Dance Ages 3, 4
Stimulating, fun and imaginative classes which have
been designed to develop your child’s natural interest in dance and music. The fundamentals of basic dance movement, pre-ballet, tumbling and the use of imagination in dance and movement is introduced.
Kinderdance Ages 5, 6
Our Kinderdance program has been designed to
further develop your child’s natural love for movement and music.The basic elements of pre-ballet and creative movement which were introduced at the
pre-school level are reinforced. Tap is also introduced
at this age. A one-hour combination class of Tap, Ballet
and Jazz is offered.
Acrobatics 6 and older
Acrobatic training teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration as well as spatial awareness. The high degree of discipline and concentration required for acrobatics carries over to many aspects of a student’s life, including academics and other athletic performance.
Tap 6 and older
Tap dance combines the study of rhythm, precision and the fluidity of movement and style.Tap dancing is an excellent way to increase the coordination between mind and body.
Ballet 6 and older
Ballet dance includes barre and center work, designed to build a beautiful, graceful and healthy body with fine posture and poise. After sufficient study of ballet, a student is advanced to pointe work.
Jazz 6 and older
Jazz dance on the beginning level includes stretches, isolations, plies, barre work and simple choreographed combinations. Intermediate Jazz classes include the beginning material executed at a quicker tempo. Also included are turns, hops, jumps and leaps Junior and Teen Dancer Jazz classes work
on more complex combinations, as well as the development
of style and solid control
Contemporary Dance 9 and older
Contemporary Dance is now replacing what was known as
Modern Dance and Lyrical Dance, terms which are now
becoming obsolete. Contemporary Dance draws on modern dance techniques and encompasses the work of Laban, Cunningham and Graham. Unlike Classical Ballet,
Contemporary Dance utilizes floor work, and is concerned
with theme and concept. Contemporary Dance balances
lyricism, fluidity and athleticism
Hip Hop 10 and older
Hip Hop dance refers to dance styles, mainly street
dance, to hip hop music. Some specific styles of
new school hip hop are referred to as Krumping and
Snap Dance. Many of the new styles of Hip Hop are
seen in today’s music videos, and are very popular
with children and teens.
New Musical Theatre Dance 10 and older
This class features a wide variety of Broadway Jazz
styles, and will cover everything from Fosse to Hairspray
to A Chorus Line. This is a great class for the student who
has a dramatic flair, and is interested in school musicals. “Come and get your Broadway On!”
New The Dance Track 10 and older
The Dance Track is a program for students who wish to
explore the excitement of dance competition.The Dance
Track is a stepping stone to gain experience for our dance
teams. Although no audition is required, we ask for all of
our Dance Track students to be motivated to learn, and
committed to their classes. Minimum requirements are a
Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary class in addition to the
Dance Track Choreography class. Students will compete
in two competitions each season.

with unique moves and combinations that allow you to dance away their worries. Fun and easy workouts, ZUMBA classes
are not only great for your body,but they are also great for the mind. ZUMBA, the fitness craze that is fast
sweeping the nation!
